The purpose of this introductory core-requirement course is to provide CAU students with an understanding of fundamental computer concepts, communication and networks, computer security, ethics, privacy, and various software and hardware categories and devices. This course also assists students in learning to access information retrieval resources in various formats and disciplines.

 

The Computer and Information Science Department have mapped the CIS 100 ITCA course for achieving award from NSA to meet National Training Standard for Information Systems Security Professionals (NSTISSI 4011 & 4014 ).
