“About the Workshop”

This year’s contest theme is Master Computers ... Rule the World. Our time in history is characterized by the proliferation of information traveling down the Internet superhighway powered by computers. Advances in computer technology have provided the infrastructure for innovations that continue to improve the quality of life for all. Computers have permeated every aspect of modern society. This means that qualified personnel will continue to be in demand to design, build, program, and service computers. Arguably, those who master computers will rule the world.

The main goal of the workshop is to encourage students to choose science, especially Computer Science, as a career path. The workshop emphasizes using science in everyday life by training robots to do a fun activity. Students, assisted by Computer Science undergraduate students, will improve their analytical skills, practice teamwork, and enjoy a little friendly competition. Schools are encouraged to send teams of three to five students; no technology experience is necessary. Register today to ensure your space!
