Biography.
Janth English received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Tennessee State University and her Masters of Science in Computer Science from Clark Atlanta University. She began her career at BellSouth Telecommunications as an Engineer, and later transferred to the Information Technology Department. There she managed the design and implementation of multi-million dollar projects and became one of their leading system's analysts. After taking an early retirement, Janth came to Clark Atlanta University in 1996 to pursue her second career as a teacher. She is currently a research associate and adjunct faculty member for the Computer & Information Science Department. Professor English has taught the Java programming (CS1), Data Structures (CS2), and Information Systems classes and supervises student research under the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Army Center for Research in Information Science (ACRIS) projects at CAU. Her current research interests include Distributed Collaboration, and Knowledge Management. Janth brings to the CAU/CIS team practical experience and technical knowledge.
